Why Christmas Sucks for IT Guys.

First of all, Christmas is just a pain in the ass. I freaking hate how it's turned into just a bullshit commercial holiday, and don't even get me started on it's origins... Wanna make it about peace and good will toward others, that's perfect, I can get behind that. I don't want to get bullshit cause I didn't spend enough, or I bought the wrong thing.

People LOVE to buy shit just because it's new, and there's nothing newer than technology. People buy something, not knowing anything about it, not having asked anyone who DOES know anything about it, and then treat you like an asshole when you tell them it doesn't do what they thought it would. You're so intelligent and informed that you can buy this stuff without talking to me, don't ask for my help when you can't figure out how to use it.

Every dumbass on the street knows what an iPhone is, but most of them don't know what to do with one. "iPhones are new! Want!" Then they call up technical support, whether you support iPhones or not, and get all assholey about getting their email set up.

First, have you even fucking tried? Click the god damn "Add Email Account" button and see what happens! If you can't answer questions like "What's your email address?" and "What's your password?" then you don't need a fucking iPhone. Not only do you not need it, you don't deserve it, and shouldn't have it.

The best are the people who don't even know what they bought. They can't tell you if it's an iPhone, or a Droid, or a Windows phone. If you can't give me some kind of information that differentiates your phone from a Hershey's with Almonds candy bar, then throw it the fuck out.

Just because you have something that has a power chord, doesn't make it my domain. I'm not an IT guy because I know how to assemble a coffee maker or hook up a DVD player. Read the fucking manual!
